Message 1) VTC control at idle = steady idle RPM because the intake cams are not advancing and retarding uncontrolled (this is what makes the noise)

2) the rear cover is pinned to prevent it from rotating and wiping out the o-ring = no oil leaks

3) no heavy duty VTC spring needed (the front one), I recommend using only stock VTC springs = saving a few $$

4) no VTC noise when using higher pressure valve springs = never being embarassed because one of the best looking cars ever made, sounds like a POS when the VTC are noisy

5) maintains full VTC function = a broader torque curve compared to no VTC at all (a-la JUN or Tomei sprockets)

6) cost less than a new set of sprockets (~$840), which do have the exact same noise and oil leakage potential

7) I have found that when I reassemble the sprockets, I can change the timing in 0.25° increments. Although this isn't user adjustable, if someone has some certain cam timing scenario that they'd like to try, I can accomadate them. I'd be willing to adjust the timing free of charge on the initial rebuild and make adjustments later for $25/pair (you would have to send them to me and cover return shipping)

8) the sprockets are disassembled and cleaned before being rebuilt. Now that sounds a bit redundant, but of all the sprockets I've bought lately, you wouldn't believe the crap I find in them... primarily dead insects from people taking them off and leaving them in the garage for who knows how long. This is obviously not a problem for a fresh tear-down, but using old sprockets without a thorough cleaning = scary stuff in your oil.
